I would like to warmly welcome you to the homepage of Pope Benedict House in Marktl am Inn.

In addition to the permanent exhibition in the house we are presenting in 2010 a special exhibition with the theme “I called you by your name”.

We invite you to ask yourself the question of your own name's heritage. The emphasis of our new special exhibition lies on the name, that everyone of us carries and the singularity it reflects. Starting with the name of Joseph Ratzinger / Benedict XVI., we try to trace this basic topic of human life.

The exhibitions features treasures like a copperplate print from Albrecht Dürer from the personal estate of Cardinal Fings, a print of Benedict from the Scheyern cloister and the parish register with the record of Joseph Ratzinger's baptism.

You can visit the exhibition until October 31, 2010.
Opening hours are tuesday until friday 10am-12 noon and 2pm-6pm. Saturday and sunday 10am-6pm. Upon request, we can offer you guided tours through the special exhibition.
